Fire & Water. What happens when smoke turns the morning sun red long after sunrise.

Can't even recall the last time I saw a cable type backhoe. I think they were called shovels back then. Plus a dump truck from back in the 50s.

Park bench in Waterton townsite, the day of the initial voluntary evacuation order. I wonder how it survived the combination of smoke water and ash? The gent had been welded to that bench and working that phone for at least half an hour. Obviously he wanted in the photo come hell or high water.

Perhaps he's learned that photographers will pay for his absence?  ;)

Like the creek shot even though I tend to avoid sepia tones and water. Probably because it reminds me of the time local flooding caused a sewage lagoon to overflow into a nearby river. Memorable for all the wrong reasons.  :o

Gotta love it when the Larch turn.

From yesterdays walk.  Perhaps a tad heavy with the saturation setting. :)
Noted that these were brushing the edges of the path. Since the resin behaves in a manner similar to poison ivy if hit by sunlight, I took the precaution of washing my jeans when I got home.

The Burmis Tree is fairly well known. Tons of hits if you Google it under images. This fallen brother gets nowhere near the attention even though it lies a few feet away and is equally worthy.
