Been playing with a more subtle way to do sepia tones. Thanks to a heavy smoke haze, color was not the way to go with this image.

The Fractal-Flowers shot a few posts back were of a Cow Parsnip. A rather large member of the carrot family that can behave somewhat like poison ivy if you get the sap on your bare skin, then expose it to sunlight.

A week or two down the road and the seeds appear.

The view from Castle Cornet, St. Peter's Port, Guernsey, including the remains of a German gun emplacement - one of several carbuncles glommed on to the much older castle battlements during their "stay" on this strategic Channel island during the second world war.
