Little Known Resources from Apple

Lets face it. Have you ever tried to cover the entire spectrum of Apple's online presence? Well I have, and it is no small task, in fact it could almost be a fulltime pursuit! Just when you think you have seen all that they have to offer is when you find something that blows your mind, and is often exactly what you need the most! I am going to talk a bit about an area like that from Apple today, and it is called 'Apple Solutions Experts'.

First of all, I have to admit...I didn't really stumble onto this one. I work for a company that is a member of this group, but I realise from looking at our mailing list (and all discussion on it about the lack of publicity) and browsing the Apple web site that it is not really common knowledge that this service even exists! I have been working in the business for a long time now and I had no idea about this service Apple provides until I started this job.

Ok, first of all, what is it? Well, it is a network of "independent consultants, trainers, Value Added Resellers (VARs) and Apple Specialist Resellers in the United States and Canada," according to the website. But it is also more than that. It is the yellow pages of people who can help you, the Mac users, when you are in need. In the directory listings you can find these professionals in your area and the contact information for them. Often there are websites and email addresses listed for them as well. Great you say, but wait, that is not all there is.

If you fall into this category of being a professional in the Mac industry, this program has a lot to offer you too! You can get listed in the directories, get access to list servers to discuss matters with other professionals in your industry, and have the opportunity for some excellent training and seminars directly from Apple. Who better to learn from than the masters themselves?

So take a minute to browse the website everyone...there is something here for end users and professionals in the industry alike. It is one of the little known resources that Apple offers to all of us Macintosh people.
