Doug:
First of all, have you ever done SCSi over firewire? It's not very compatible at all...I wouldn't wish it upon anyone.
And a USB NIC ? Comon now, get real here. I use the 2nd NIC almost daily, I am a network administrator and I _need_ 2 network connections for most of my work (private and public addresses). Zoomed video is just for fun (mostly - I have used it for work in the past as well).
I have good reasons and I use them daily. FYI I _did_ bitch about only one pcmcia slot on the pismo, my current powerbook is a wallstreet with 2 lovely pcmcia slots and on board SCSI.
You missed the whole point of my arguments...expandability. Without adding external devices (defeating the purpose of a laptop).
