| Michel This may sound a bit naive, but why would anybody want two PCMCIA slots, let alone one. I did a quick search at my local online computer store, and the only PCMCIA equipment being sold were modems and ethernet jacks, both of which--to my knowledge--is already built into the G4. Is there any other useful equipment that requires PCMCIA? I know there used to be extra hard drive memory (if my memory serves me right) but with the G4, I would opt for a firewire external drive. Also, why should (larger) size be an issue? I must admit that I was a hard core PC user, but I was seduced by the Titanium. I want a computer with a lot of memory (256) a large hard drive (20, no less) and the G4 is a good deal. Today, I saw a Sony and its screen was simply miniscule! I will be using my computer hours on end away from my office and home: why would I want to squint all day looking at a tiny screen when for a few inches extra I can get an almost full-sized monitor. Lugging an external monitor to the field is not an option and, no, I do not otherwise need glasses :-) |
